Qualitative Results

The Ask Me! Project is a quality of life survey for individuals with developmental disabilities receiving services in the State of Maryland. The interviews are conducted by people with developmental disabilities who are employed and trained by The Arc of Maryland. A ramdom sample of people supported by the agency are surveyed each year.

We conduct Satisfaction Surveys every 6 months. A random sample of individuals and caregivers are done for each program. Surveys are sent to the selected individuals asking questions in regards to how The Arc is doing with providing services to the individual. Once the surveys are returned, the data is graphed and any concerns are directed to the program directors.

On a quarterly basis, volunteers from The Board of Directors, Quality Enhancement Committee conduct interviews to assess the meaningfulness of goals written into the Individual Plan for individuals supported by The Arc of Baltimore.

Individuals and staff are asked several questions in reference to whether a goal has meaning to them, if they chose the goal, if they are making progress; and, if there is another goal they would like to have.  The results below show how many individuals were interviewed this quarter and the results of the survey.
