LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR APPLY NOW
The responsibility of the landscape maintenance supervisor is to oversee a crew of supported landscape workers, and ensure the workers’ safety and training program, and assigned commercial landscape maintenance contracts.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensure that the supported worker’s rights and dignity are protected, and that they have maximum opportunities to fully participate as a member of the landscape department.
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed without exception.
- Assume responsibility of all equipment used on jobs, including care and safe operation, promptly reporting damage or losses.
- Submit manifests and time cards daily to manager and other documentation as required.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual plans for assigned workers and maintain pertinent documentation.
- Complete assigned contracts, ensure contract requirements are completed within allotted time.
- Complete all agency required trainings for position.
- Demonstrate the techniques used in landscape work, and set the pace for the workers.
- Apply pesticides as needed, keeping accurate records as required by Maryland Department of Agriculture.

To provide training and support for students with disabilities, their families, business co-workers, and Project SEARCH school personnel to ensure the students’ success during the worksite rotations and/or a competitive job.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provides individualized support for students at the host business worksite rotations or competitive job which includes: job coaching, building natural supports, identifying job accommodations, assistive technology, etc.
- Communicates effectively with Project SEARCH Instructor, other job coaches, employers, co-workers, family members, and school and agency personnel as it relates to the person being trained. These decisions may be related to continued job coaching, fading, behavior, job tasks, etc.
- Perform specific job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities.
- Work with students, employers, families, job placement specialist, agency personnel, affiliate school personnel and other appropriate parties to problem solve issues related to training and employment.
- Practice positive reinforcement techniques with students, co-workers and other staff.
- Trains students in the areas of grooming, hygiene, communication, interviewing and behavior as they relate to successful employment.
- Provides travel training to host business site if necessary.
- Attends trainings to become more knowledgeable of strategies and current “best practices” in the field of supported employment.
- Participates in decision making process to identify and implement training strategies and/or services with other Project SEARCH staff and host business staff.
