How The Arc Can Help Your Business:

If your business is looking for qualified, diligent workers, The Arc of Baltimore Employment Services can help. Drawing from our large pool of motivated, dedicated workers with mental retardation and/or other developmental disabilities, we provide ongoing placement, job training, support, and supervision. This ensures that the high quality standards of your business are continually met efficiently and cost-effectively.

Our workers have earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence and hard work with area businesses. Established more than 25 years ago, The Arc of Baltimore Employment Services is the largest community-based employment program in the nation, with nearly 550 workers in diverse jobs throughout Baltimore.

Here's how it works:

  • Individual Placements
  • Employment Consultation

The Arc of Baltimore recognizes that each company's personnel needs are different. Our employment counselors work with you to determine your specific job requirements. We then tailor our services to fulfill those expectations. Our professional staff will provide:
  • Personnel Recommendations:
Upon careful screening, our employment counselors will recommend appropriate qualified job candidates for your consideration. We will discuss these recommendations with you before you talk to the potential employee(s). Final contact with job candidates will be made at your discretion.
  • On-Site Support and Training:
When you hire a supported worker from The Arc of Baltimore, you receive expert, on-site training, support and supervision at no additional cost to you. Our coaches remain on the job with the individual for a period of time to ensure a successful transition and quality assurance. Our commitment to your business continues throughout the employee's service to your company.

Group Employment

  • On-site Employment
If you need larger jobs, a job coach can supervise a group of individuals with disabilities at your job site on an ongoing basis. The job coach will make sure the work is completed to meet the company standards. The Arc is responsible for payroll, benefits and transportation. We are very experienced in Laundry, Housekeeping and Production and Assembly work.
