60th Anniversary Events
EMPLOYERS OF DISTINCTION Co-hosted by The Baltimore Business Journal, this annual breakfast event pays tribute to companies who have made it a priority to hire individuals with developmental disabilities. The breakfast, on October 21st, is attended by an estimated 150 people in the Baltimore business community.
ART IN THE ROUND Annual Art Exhibit and Anniversary Photo Exhibit held at the American Visionary Art Museum featuring work of local artists with developmental disabilities. Tickets include entrance to the art and photo exhibits, a wine tasting, and the art (silent) auction. The event is scheduled for November 6th with 350 people expected.
BOWLING BLAST went off recently with over 100 participants enjoying an afternoon of Duckpin. Competition was fierce for the top scoring teams, but prizes for the most spirit, best bowling shirt, and pledges raised helped spread the fun around too. While FUN was the primary goal for the event, the bowlers also netted over $3,000 for The Arc.
DIAMOND DECA DANCE There is no better way to celebrate a BIG 60th Anniversary, than to dance the night away. It will be a true party, featuring music from the past 60 years with costume and dance contests for individuals and teams. Roulette and other entertainment will be offered for the non-dancers. The June 4th event will be attended by an estimated 350 people at the Museum of Industry.
CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT Annual golf tournament on two courses featuring local celebrities, golf contests, silent auction, and awards ceremony. Fundraising event marketed to the business community. The tournament, on May 18th, will host close to 200 golfers.
