This fiscal year, we are celebrating The Arc of Baltimore’s 60th anniversary. Please look here for events that will mark this special year and join us as we reaffirm our commitment to our mission:

Photographer Howard Korn presented an exhibit of his work at the recent Art in the Round. Faces of The Arc includes an array of people and children supported by The Arc of Baltimore.


Don’t Miss Developmental Disabilities Day  at the Legislature

Legislative Reception & Briefing -- February 25, 2010,  8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (additional time for meetings with legislators to follow)

Citizens with developmental disabilties, families, providers and advocates are coming to Annapolis to meet with Legislators about critical disability issues. We hope you'll join us!

February 10, 2010 Transportation available: Depart from Baltimore at 7 a.m., return to Baltimore by 1:30.

Civic Works is Making Arc Houses Energy Efficient


In a collaborative project with a grant from federal stimulus funds, Civic Works has done an energy audit of 35 Arc owned houses and is now working to implement needed work. The attached video shows insulation work taking place in the attic of one Arc house.

The Arc of Baltimore will host a Bowling Blast on February 28th from 3-5 at the Pikesville AMF. Space is limited so register for this fundraiser now.

To add to the fun, we need prizes for our bowlers. If you can contribute gift cards to you favorite restaurant or a national retailer, contact Ammie Ducker at aducker@arcofbaltimore.org




Summer’s Coming… Thinking about camps yet?

Check out the Camp for All camp fair later this month and look at the summer opportunities for kids with disabilities. It’s on Sunday, February 28th at the Crowne Plaza Timonium from 12-3. A Camp Manual will also be available at the event (and here online).

Parents can Network - The Arc of Baltimore’s Family and Children Services Division offers a variety of support groups as a tool to help parents deal with the joys and challenges of having a child with developmental disabilities everyday:
