New Annual Report Out

The 2008 Annual Report provides the expected financials of the organization along with a unique story of two women coming together – one from Rosewood and one from her parents’ home – becoming friends as close as sisters and even sharing the same birthday. Project SEARCH GraduationProject SEARCH Grads Get Pomp & Circumstance

The Arc of Baltimore’s Project SEARCH celebrated their first six graduates with a ceremony including Secretary of Disabilities Catherine Raggio who delivered keynote remarks, and President of University of Maryland Baltimore President David Ramsay. The students completed their final year of high school in Project SEARCH and focused job readiness and life skills learning with internships at the University of Maryland Baltimore.

This year’s Celebrity Golf Tournament hosted nearly 180 golfers and raised nearly $90,000. Thanks to our Title Sponsor, Scientific Plant Service for another great year, and our tournament co-chairs, Mike Eikenberg and Chuck Shettle who started this tournament 15 years ago.

The 8th Annual Art in the Round featuring art created by individuals with developmental disabilities will be held on November 6, 2009 at the American Visionary Art Museum. This year’s event will feature some additional highlights as part of our 60th anniversary year celebration.

All artwork must be submitted by September 15th for consideration by the Selection Committee—either the art pieces themselves or digital pictures with dimensions. All art mediums accepted for submission.
